I have two fbts and i know one is a male because he is always jumping on my "female" fbt and hes super warty lol. but how do i tell if the female is well... female? when he jumps on her she makes a low chirping sound but tolerates him on her. she has smooth skin and has a round mouth. i looked up how to sex them and it says that females have smoother skin (less warts) and have rounder snouts. so what i want to know is if shes female or not. i know that only males make noise but is it different with fire belly toads? please help i want to breed them.

A 7 gallon tank is inappropriate for your fire belly toads. You should have at least a 10 gallon tank to start with, and I wouldn't put more then 2 in there. Firebelly Toads require 5 gallons per frog. If your firebelly toads are not chirping, they may be sexually immature or they are female. Females will tend to be more "plump" looking and males will look more lean. Males will spend most of their time in the water waiting and calling to the females. Their call makes a "woof" sound.

"penis"-"male" or "vagina"-"female"
