The Food and Supplement section on http://www.kingsnake.com often has toads available.

Since feeder toads are hard to come by, I'd stick with a frozen rodent diet. If your hog won't eat, force feeding may be necessary until it takes food on it's own.

if you keep him, you can buy bugs for him to eat from a fishing store, or some pet stores carry bugs. he needs to be kept warm, he's an amphibian, he can't regulate his body temp. internally like mammals. DON'T let him hibernate if you do keep him. putting him back outside now that it's cold outside would probably kill him. it depends on how cold it's been getting. just a little cool is ok, freezing to near freezing isn't. if you do keep him, ask your pet store about the best indoor habitat. good luck :-)
