Well he had an infection, we think, he started shedding and the shedding got to his eyes and he couldnt open them for 3 weeks and didn't eat for 3 weeks, and his color has been good light brown almost white, but its been 4 weeks he hasn't ate and he looks better now, but his eyes are wide open but he can't see theres like white stuff all in his eyes.. we've had him 2 years since he just hatched, we found him on the wall, he must of come out of one of my moms plants that she got from florida and hatched from an egg and crawled up through our basement and we found him on the wall and just kept him because we live in a climate that is too cold to release him. He's been alive for 2 years and thats how long they live in captivity. I know he would of made it longer, if he didn't get screwed by the shedding and it getting in his eyes. I don't think he's ever gonna be able to see again, and I can't think of a humane way to kill him, if hes suffering, or blind. I think he'd be better off dead, than living blind, either way he's going to die from not eating..

You can always feed him. Being blind doesn't have to mean death.

My leopard gecko got an eye infection from a shed problem like your anole, but I took him to the vet and got an ointment for his eye. After a couple weeks it was gone. Only cost me about $65, too! But the whole time he was healing he had a hard time seeing to hunt the crickets, so I got rubber tipped tweezers, grabbed a cricket by a hind leg, and held it in front of his face for him. Sometimes I would touch it to his nose so he knew it was there. He would eat them with no problem.

He healed, got better and lived for about another year or so before he died of natural causes at just under 20 yrs old. As he got older and slower, I also used the tweezer method to help him when he had trouble hunting.

Good luck!

if you want to end it put it in a small container and freeze it. then bury him in your yard. RIP.

brown anoles live 2-4 years just like a green anole. if you got some shed aid drops from a pet store to help the eyes 4 weeks ago, it might have had a longer life.

The Green Anole (Anolis carolinensis) is one of the most commonly kept pet lizards. They are very easy to provide care for and are excellent for beginner lizard keepers. A full life for a Green Anole will only be about 2 to 4 years. Green Anoles are also commonly referred to as Carolina Anoles, American Anoles, Red-Throated Anoles and American Chameleons.

here's the good news:

You can improve your eyesight by simply learning, naturally and practicing the correct way to see for a few small minutes a day.

You can check this method based on a scientnfic researches : http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=413

if glasses are worn continuously over time the poor vision will generally become worse. Essentially what glasses do is lock the eyes into their refractive state and in order to see through your lenses you have to maintain the poor vision that the lenses are designed to correct.

"Restore my vision? program you'll be taken by the hand, it shows you how to improve your vision naturally, permanent and complete solution.

Even the American Optometric Association has been forced to admit these things!

The secret to restore vision naturally

And I'm sure that you will not regret your decision

DO NOT FREEZE HIM . THAT IS A HORRIBLE PAINFUL DEATH FOR A REPTILE . THEY DONT JUST GO TO SLEEP . just saying , with good husbandry , they have been known to live up to 8 and even 10 years . this is just ****** up . mine has an eye issue as well but Im still trying , there is NO way In hell being dead is better , don't you dare kill him , send him to me and I will ******* take care of it . just because an animal has an infection you are unwilling to take care of doesn't mean they are better off dead , there are happy animals without tails , eyes , legs and so on , you just don't realize you don't have the right to kill it . that is bot your decision , human are arrogant in thinking they can't control and dictate who lives or dies , WOULD YOU KILL YOUR BLIND CHILD ???? NO . SCREAM THAT .

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/d5f13
