Should I sell my Lovly Hognose to Somone to get another snake?

I have a Lovely WC suspected New Color Mutation Eastern Hognose, and my mother told me I should sell him so I can get a
Finish getting the amount I need for a Super Dwarf Reticulated Python. I dont want to part with him but I dont know what to do....If anyone reads this and Does want him just in-case....he is about 6.5 inchs long. He/She is very docile. You should feed him Toads and frongs. Go for green Frogs He refuses alll Frozen food and only takes live. He wount take any rodent...havnt tried a live mouce but, you could give it a shot. I cant ship him so what should I do?????? I am in huston area. What should I do?

Personally, I would never sell a hognose to get a retic!!! Then again, I would never own another retic! If you're attached to the hognose, just be patient and earn the rest of the money some other way! Keep the hognose!

You should never give your animals away unless you are in a position where you have no choice. The minute you bring that animal home, you are accepting responsibility to care for it for the rest of it's life. i recommend keeping the hognose and If you really want the python, then just save some money first. Don't get rid of your animal because you decided you like a different one better. Hopefully this doesn't become a pattern. i have an iguana, he's very big and I'm not in a position any more to house him. So i'm housing him at my girlfriend's house because she has more room. i still pay for his food, and change his water and every thing else that he needs. Even though he is not at my place, I still take care of him because that's what responsible pet owners do. he's mine for the rest of his life.

you can give it to forest department.or to zoo.then only you can see it again ,whenever you want.
