What kind of snake? If it's anything poisonous, keep your dog far away from it. Something like a garter snake could easily be killed by a dog. Any dog has the potential to kill a snake, but why let it, you never know if the snake might cause harm to the dog, even the non-poisonous ones.
Honestly my Bulldog is freaked out by my Ball Python, so I don't think he'd be a great snake hunter outdoors. Not to mention they're not the most skilled hunting, tracking, or really anything other than companion dogs now.

Well, depending on the snake, it could go both ways. Your dog could infact kill the snake. Yet, there is a HUGE chance that in defense the snake will bite your dog. And if it is a venomous snake this could be fatal for your dog. Also, the snake could strike the dog and spook the dog off.
So if you're looking to kill the snake... Thats not the best idea. Plus killing the snake should not be an option for you.
If you want to get rid of the snake and provide a safe enviornment for your dog - find out what kind of snake your dealing with. Then you can either call animal control or a reptile specialist and they can take it away. But if it is a non-venomous snake you can follow percise directions on picking it up and giving it to someone who will care for it.
Hope this helped and have fun with your new dog!

well that depends on if your bulldog has enough muscle power and how big the snake is. Either way, keep an eye out and make sure your dog doesn't get hurt.

What kind of snake??
I had tons of garter, rat and corn snakes in my yard. I lived close to the Mississippi River. Anyway, my springer killed a snake daily during the spring, summer and autumn months.

My dog kills snakes all the time and she's a lab. If the dog wants to it can kill the snake easily but be sure it isn't poisonous or you might have a dead dog.

it may go either way. If he/she does get bit just hope its not a venomous snake.
