how to get rid of a snake?

ok, while I was playing videogames this really thin rattlesnake managed to crawl into the back of my ps3 through the air slits. It almost went all the way in but its rattle got stuck and couldnt fit through the air slit. The ps3 is still runnine fine, but im too scared to turn it off because the switch is near the snakes rattle and the rattle is also near the powerboard. I dont want to kill it and my apartment is not near any vets or animal control people. What do i do?

K sleeve pillowcase over it,but be careful it still can bite through it, then put in something else. Carry it outside, and open the top. put it outside if it doesn't leave in an hour, call some animal shelter and see what they say. Good Luck! If you are bitten, call for an ambulance or drive IMMEDIATELY to the closest hospital. Whatever you do, don't risk yourself over the PS3, I know i love my system too.

First, why would the smallest part of the snake get stuck... if it were going to get stuck, it would have gotten stuck in the middle, regardless of how thin it was. Second, the rattle would break off where it was stuck if the snake pulled on it. Third, nice try, troll.

If I were you i would put a plastic tub over your console and then put something heavy on top of that...then call 911 and they can get a vet or animal control to deal with it...I dont think you should touch it at all, snakes are deadly fast and if you get bit your going to be in a world full of pain.

You should call 911. But if you don't want to just put on some leather gloves and a jacket and take the hole thing out side and wait for it to slither out. You could encourage it by poking it a little if you feel the need.

unplug the ps3 and place it in a hessian or cloth bag. tie the top of the bag and proceed to your nearest vet or look in the yellow pages for snake charmers/ removalists. phone one of them and get the ps3 to him for evaluation. don't try and remove it yourself as damage to you , the snake, or the ps3 or all of the above may result. good luck.

Build a fire outside, unplug your ps3 and hold it over the fire and smoke the snake out.
