I have a small lizard/gecko I got him from OC (ocean city) and he looks bored. Is there anything I can put in a his enclosure to make it more fun? Also would it be possible to put 2 hermit crabs in with him because the tank they are in is what my mom wants in. He is in a small enclosure that we got him in at OC it's quite boring in there. Please help please! By the way I have noooo clue what type of lizard/gecko he is.

i have a crested gecko and he loves his enclosure. He has fake leaves/vines, a rock, a tree stump, and a heating pad. Just a little tip, your gecko needs the fake leaves because you have to mist them 2 times a day. Thats how the gecko survives. Also your gecko needs a special diet called Rapashy. The enclosure should also have a day light, UVB light, and a night light.

As far as puttng the hermit crabs in the enclosure with him, its not safe. At night hermit crabs like to fight and they might accidently snip him and he could get seriously injured. I would suggest buying a new tank for your gecko. Gecko's need at least a 15 gallon tank. Hermit crabs can live in a 5 gallon tank with no problem as long as there's sand, water, and extra shells.

I really do not know how to help you. You are obviously a new retile keeper, considering to house hermit crabs with an unknown species of gecko/lizard. Most geckos and lizards have extremely different care then hermit crabs, and the two creatures could end up harming one another. If I were you I would attempt to identify the species of lizard/gecko. What color is it, is it terrestrial, is it omnivorous or insectivorous. These are things you should be considering. I'm going to suggest you use repti-carpet ( a commercial brand of carpet like substrate). It can be used for leopard geckos, tokay geckos, crested geckos, day geckos, house geckos, viper geckos, leachies, ect. It is very variable and can be used for a multitude of creatures. You can also add various plastic plants into the enclosure. Remember as well that if you use anything from outside you have to boil or bake it prior to introducing it to the reptile enclosure. Also a general rule of thumb is do not feed any food item that is larger then the space between your gecko/lizards eyes. I really wish I knew the species of your lizard/gecko mainly because certain species need higher humidity and different needs...I hope I helped a little...

build a miniature to scale replica of a boat with toilet roll inners and glue etc, paint it and add miniature people etc, it'll be fun watching a giant lizard roaming around a shipwreck
