I have a mojave ball python that won't eat a certain mouse. I bought 6 mice for breeding and put them in a cage expect for 1 female, who already looked pregnant. I put her in a different cage so she could give birth (she looks like she swallowed a golf ball) 4 weeks passed. The other 4 females got pregnant and already had babies, which I am about to ween from their mothers. I fed the male to my snake. The 1 female that already looked pregnant, had no babies. She just stayed fat and gross. I have repeatedly tried to feed her to my snake but he has no desire to eat her. He has eaten every other mouse I have given him before and I tried a different mouse and he ate it. Shes fat, gross looking, now too old to use as a breeder, not appealing to my snake and just a gross stinky pain in my ***. Why won't he eat her?

Obviously the mouse, and the snake have a bond that should not be broken. If you kill the mouse the snake will have to fight for its fallen brethren, and come after you.

It's a ball python thing. Apparently the chemical signature from that mouse is unappealing to your ball python. This happens. Some ball pythons even refuse rats and only will feed on mice all of their lives. I have a couple of ball pythons that are like this.

the only snake i comprehend that eats crickets is a coarse green snake. Get this one in case you dont prefer to supply your snake rats or mice. even yet it truly is particularly small and doesnt look that wonderful for my section ^^ Yeah human beings earlier me are good. Snakes (different than that green snake) require mice/rats for his or her food in captivity. Failing to supply those will result the snakes lack the dietary desires. Yeah prolly u can feed frogs, lizards, chicks on your snake yet it truly is not counseled. very just about all captive bred snakes are fed with rats/mice (*some snakes will devour eggs too, like an African egg eating snake) So if u truly love your snake and desire it so undesirable. look on the care sheet presented on your cyber web and feed it with what the care sheet help you recognize for the reason that's the main suitable for the snake ^^ desire this helps ^^

For one don't feed live, it's so bad for ur snake.. Despite belief snakes don't pick n choose their food based on color or cuz they just don't like that one. It's likely due to the Moises size, kill it n try to feed if it still refuses then just freeze it or throw it away. A mouse that swollen has to have internal issues n I wouldn't feed it anyways
