It's called "retained shed" when a reptile doesn't shed completely/properly. You need to soak/bathe your snake in tepid water for 10 - 15 minutes once or twice a day until it all comes off. (That would be the free and easy way to get the shed off.) You can also buy some "shed aid" from a pet store and apply that as directed until the skin comes off. The shed aid is basically aloe vera reptile lotion that you apply to the skin and rub in to get the shed to come off.
Retained shed occurs when the humidity levels have not been maintained properly. Balls should have 55 - 60% humidity in the enclosure. You can use a moist hide, like Leopard geckos do, in the enclosure to provide an area with raised humidity without having to make the entire enclosure so. You can use moistened terrarium moss, paper towel, peat moss, or organic potting soil. The terrarium moss is the best choice; it doesn't dry out fast, like the paper towel, and it isn't as messy as the soils are.

He probably won't because he can't. When a snake sheds in pieces like that your humidity isn't high enough. Make sure his old skin isn't constricting him around the middle anywhere and make sure both eye caps are gone. If he's being constricted anywhere, GENTLY, remove the dead skin with your fingertips. If it doesn't want to come off easily, leave it alone. It's not quite ready. If his eye caps are still there, take those off (again, gently) with tweezers IF they'll come off easily. If not, leave those alone too until he's ready. If you're not comfortable with doing all that yourself, any reptile vet will be happy to do it for you. You have to mist your snake twice a day with water to keep this from happening in the future.

the extra shed will come off with the next shed or you can buy some shed-ease at the pet store. Make sure your snakes enclosure is not to dry.

It depends on what type of snakes would be around. If it is non venomous snakes then I can last for 5 days maximum after which I will vomit. If it is venomous snakes, I will barely last 5 mins If it is sea snakes then I can stay with them in the pool for 3 days.
