i want to get a newt and i have a 10 gallon tank from previous fish. i was wondering if that would hold a newt or two

My brother's had newts and he had about 4 in a 10 gallon tank. You should be fine, just put one side of the tank sand or rock and the other half water and they should be very happy. Hope this helps!

growing up i had 2 newts and I kept them in a 10 gallon fish tank with water and made a spot a little higher with a smooth rock for dry land!! But make sure when you handle them that you wash your hands they carry many diseases

yes it's perfectly fine the way I always thought of it this way if the tank is twice or more bigger than the animal than its perfectly fine
