How to get an inguana to poo without floating? Any suggestions how to retrain him to go in his cage?

My 8 year old, 6 ft. iguana suddenly won't poo without being floated. Food, vitamins, humidity levels, exercising have all been addressed with no change. Goes fine in tub but this is a problem because of his size and that I can't go away and leave him with anyone else to care for him. Any suggestions how to retrain him to go in his cage?

If your iguana wont go unless being floated, why dont you try putting a water container in his cage. If your cage isn't big enough, then your iguana would need a bigger cage anyway. If he was trained to go that way his whole life then it could be too late to retrain him all over again. Just try to work with it, or, get more suggestions from a pet store.

He is probably just getting old and having trouble just like everyone else. I would provide him a small pool somehow. They make kiddie-pools in differen't sizes, or those plastic ponds at home depot might work.
